Agency360, a leading innovator in Public Safety Software, and Reborn Code, developers of handcrafted code for web and mobile apps, were named winners of the Indiana-Texas Hackathon challenge.

Fishers, IN (March 17, 2015) – Agency360 and Reborn Code, two entrepreneurial firms working out of Launch Fishers, joined forces to compete in the first event of the Hack Indiana series. The team created a solution for the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) to streamline permit application tracking.  The highlight of the system is the ability to create templates based on the permit type, allowing IDEM administrators to define preset tasks that can be assigned to both business and agency users to complete in order to move the application through the process.  Said Founder & CEO of Reborn Code, Darye Henry: “Using a project management based model, we’ve built a software solution that gives IDEM the ability to receive the applications and related documentation, and work on them simultaneously with the applicant to significantly streamline the process.”

Both companies enjoyed working on the IDEM challenge, viewing it as great opportunity for government and business to collaborate and leverage technology to serve the community. “Historically it has not been easy for the tech startup community to win contracts with government. Challenges like these are helping to bridge the gap between entrepreneurs and government leaders and allowing creative minds to tackle problems and make a positive impact in their community”, said Matthew Molter, Founder & CEO of Agency360.

As the winners of the IDEM challenge, they were given the opportunity to be guests on an edition of Inside INdiana Business with host Gerry Dick.

Agency360 and Reborn Code would like to express their thanks to the Indiana Office of Technology, the Indy Chamber, and TechPoint for the opportunity to participate in the hackathon, as well as the sponsor organizations including AT&T Indiana, Indiana Interactive, Interactive Intelligence, KSM Consulting, SAP, iLab, Kronos, netlogx, Perscio, Ball State University, Indiana University, IUPUI, The University of Notre Dame, Purdue University, and the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. In-kind sponsors include Launch Fishers, The Speak Easy, The Bureau, and Eleven Fifty Coding Academy.
